I want to quantify or subjectively assess how many delegates should be assigned/allocated/elected in a country X to have a balance .If we arrive at an empirical formula that applies to most countries, I would consider the job of this thread complete. There may be some countries which are completely in balance but I do think there are a lot of countries that are understaffed or undertrained in the number of delegates.

Things that I wish to avoid, delegates getting overworked, delegates having to travel too much, delegates serving to instable cubing communities (cubing scene dying or dwindling cubers after few years.)

For example: India has only 5 delegates and a few trainee delegates and holds around 60 WCA comps in over 20 cities. I think we are severely understaffed here and there is high chances of delegates having to travel a lot (20 cities sprinkled over India is a lot of distance to cover) and getting burned out by big competitions and far-away competitions.

To make things easier for you to answer to this thread, I would tailor and ask what do you think is the optimal number of delegates in your country or your state(if your country is too big)?
