Ok so I'm seriously thinking about learning how to bld solve and I just wanna know how hard it is. I already have a good memory and have been cubing for about a year now.

Also, What's the easiest method (I'm not focused on time I just wanna learn how to do it) and if theres a really good vid or website you can link me that'd be great!;)

Blind is not hard at all. It requires structured thinking, focus and only few algs (I use only A-Perm for corner-permutation, U-Perm for edge-permutation, HTZ-Perms for parity-fixes and 4 orientation algs I already knew)

The easiest method is probably T-Perm-only, but that is more of a demo to prove it is possible to solve a cube with only one alg.
Classic Pochmann is easy to understand and so is Orient-First-3-Cycle
M2/R2 is just a bit harder
TuRBo and (freestyle) commutators are pretty much the most advanced and still easy to understand (just hard to do or more to learn)

All you should realise is that you will (mostly) be solving 1 or 2 pieces at a time without affecting the other pieces.

Finding tutorials (we have a section just for that and another section for blindfolded right here on the forum) should be easy if you click here, here or here

If you want the easiest and are not concerned about time, Old Pochmann is the way to go. Y-Perm to solve corners, T and J perms for edges. Easy memo and setup moves. The only downside is a lot of moves, but you don't care about that. Its a great beginners method. I used Joel van noorts page when first learning:

If you take a good read through that, you'll be able to do it in no time.

or of course...

Well memorizing is not the hard part

You have to remember 20 elements, same difficulty as some has to memorize two telephone numbers of 10 digits, this sound not to hard, since it is not

In the beginning the execution of the algoritmes blindfolded take a lot of practise

I learned first to place the corners, then the edges
Hope this will stimulate you!

Actually, at first the memorization was the hardest part for me. I didn't have any methods or easy ways to do it, so I had to memorize a whole bunch of weird letters. (I still do that with edges though :D, but M2 makes it easier)

Then you just get used to it in time.

Nice to see a thread with almost the same question as I had :).
I was also thinking to learn BLD but I had no idea how hard it is. With your reactions I will give BLD a try :)

Ahhh maybe we can race to see who learns it quickest?

And thanks everybody for their support and opinions. I should be able to do it. . . I hope ;)

Oke I will race but the following week I have 2 big exams and 1 for math so I have not much time to depend on blindfolding. ;)

oh, yeah I'm busy with school too. But I'm tryin to learn it this week. I might no-life it and stay home this weekend lol
