memorize algirithoms for methods? I was trying to learn the Freidrich method, but I can't remember anything. What do you do?

Just repeat one alorithm over and over again on the cube until you can try it without the algorithm in front of your eyes. Then keep practicing it until you can do it with your eyes closed. Then, you know the algorithm pretty well and can move on to the next one. Just make sure you practice the ones you've learned to keep them fresh in your memory.

To learn the PLL algorithms, it took me a month and another month for the oll algorithms. But there was time in between to perfect the pll. It can take a lot out of the day to memorize them, that's why a nice long car ride or airplane ride really halps to learn them.

Also a trick on learning the oll (from JVN) is to see how you are breaking up the f2l and then putting it back together.

Well I'm learning Fridrich. I've gotten all the PLLs down, and now I have about 15 OLLs to go. I take the time to make sure I don't forget all the ones I learned so far, and practice them once in a while.

not sure... i just spend many hours sitting on my bed looking at the notations and performing them. i sometimes randomly go back to previous algorithms learnt to refresh my memory. keep doing spot checks on yourself to ensure you have not forgotten.

21 PLLs took me 3 days... of 8 hours of lifeless practice each. 24 hours for 21 PLLs. i could remember PLLs by heart but very slowly, had to think for a while each time. after a few weeks or so it just began to set in and the algorithms kind of became automatic.

still learning OLLs, around 20+ left

PLL took me a few months and I only learnt one or two every nwo and then.

^^

Also, dont be trying to remember the notation ... i tried that, doesnt work, just do it, watch it and do it again.. ull get it eventually.
