Hi All,

I'm one of the people who, back in the 80s, resorted to taking the cube apart!! I loved playing with the cube, but I could never solve it.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, and I was asked by the 9 year old son of a friend of ours, if I could solve the cube he had. I said that I couldn't but would go way and find out how.

My wife surprised me with a cube from the £ shop the next day and I solved my first cube n 2 days, with the aid of 5 YouTube videos.

Now I'm really enjoying learning the cube and have a RS3M 2020. Looking forward to learning more from this forum.

Welcome to the forum!

That sounds quite similliar to my story

Sometimes I think 'im just to old and see the progress bar of an 80's computer in my head while recognising pattern for the next step, but I love cubing and improve slowly but steady.
Two weeks ago I was at my first competition and it was really fun.
I me people from all different countries, backgrounds and cubing levels up to the fastest female cuber of the world who did a 8.x second one handed solve while I was judging her.

Thanks for the reply. Yours is a great story!!

I'd like to get faster and I practice with the cube everyday. It's really enjoyable!!

I suffer from anxiety and the cube has become my stress ball (if that makes sense!).

I'd like to get into the bigger cubes as well. I'll get to those next year st some point
