Ah. Have you been to any competitions yet?

And as waffle said, try other methods.
I'm not saying to switch over to another permanently, but I'd really suggest giving all of the 'decent' methods (CFOP, Petrus, Roux, ZZ, Waterman, etc) a little bit of a test here and there.
