Hi guys, i started speedcubing a week ago and i have problems with my times.I average 2 minutes with fridrich method,which i just started learning, when i used to average 1 min with the beginers method about 1 or 2 years ago.Any helpful tips/guides/algorithms/videos? My main problem is the f2l part i seem to spend too much time looking for the edges..

That also happened to me when I started with F2L. Just practise and your times will go down again. In this thread there are a bunch of useful tips for practising

As you improve with your recognition in F2L, your times will slowly decrease. Make sure to keep at it because it IS a faster method.

Yes, naturally, when you learn something new, you'll do it slower than what you're used to. But once you begin to master it and do it without thinking about it, your time will increase. Before I learned (taught myself) F2L in general, my time was about 1min. 30sec. After getting F2L down, I shaved about 30-33 sec off. And I'm sure if I kept with it, it would have gotten even faster.
