my name is frank, im from florida, im a yoyoer, been yoyoing for a long time and can do the entire ladder of tricks (at least i used to, i might be a little rusty, so give or take maybe 5 of those. i seriously doubt i could land black hops without at least 24hr practice) i just started cubing a couple months ago, and im working on consistently getting sub 40s times. it's been a fun journey and im learning new stuff every day. i am hoping i can pick up some tips and useful tricks from others in the community to help me on my way. my puzzle of choice is the 3x3x3 and my main is a gan 356M. i want to learn other puzzles as well, but the 3x3x3 has been challenging enough for the time being. im working on full oll and full pll (ive got like 5 more pll algs to learn and maybe 20 OLL) anyway thanks for the welcome, i look forward to cubing with this community.

Welcome Frank, One reccomendation Is not to learn full oll because It Will not help you to be faster, I'm sub 18 and i didin't finish It, i Need tò learn still 10 of them. Full pll Will Be helpful, try to do a lot of solves and in a few months you Will Be almost sub 30. At that point i reccomend you try more efficient f2l and eventually full oll once you Will Be sub 20. Good luck !

noted. full OLL is definitely on the end of my list. theres a few more algs that will be helpful, but theres enough work arounds that it's really not a big deal. im much closer to full PLL (which doesnt say much being theres 1/3 as many algorithms, but im 6 or 7 away. ive come to realize that the biggest thing i need to practice is technique, look ahead, and better f2l. my pll isnt lacking. my biggest thing i struggle with is practicing look ahead, ill slow down and start doing it good and smooth, and 2 solves later i realize im going fast again and looking at the blocks im inserting. ive just got to break that unnecessary habit.

oh and i clocked 34s a couple weeks ago after three 37s solves. my goal was to get a sub 30 PB by the end of summer.
