Hello everyone, i'm Valentin. I started cubing in summer 2021 (i learned to solve the cube during covid) and after beginner method, i started learning roux. I got down to a global avg of about 11.8 and a PB of 6.47.
In autumn of 2023 i switched to the then relatively new APB method. I've since broken all of my PBs and PRs that i had set with roux.
Since 2023, i have therefore been learning ZBLL and i'm almost finished (i'm missing a very small number of antisunes and my sune and especially antisune recognition is still very bad). I know all the other algs of APB (I even learned misoriented U EOPair when i didn't know it wasn't a step anymore).
I'm currently just shy of being sub ten. Although i've even had some sub-10 ao500s i don't think i can consider myself sub ten. My times are greatly dependant on if i am focused enough or not. If i'm really locked in, then i might even get some sub-9 ao12s but if i can't focus i might not even be sub-11 (if you have any tips on being more consistent, tell me! altough i think the solution is just to focus more).
My PB single is 5.28, ao5 is 7.90. For PR, single is 6.47 (which ties my roux-PB) and ao5 is 8.94.

I hope that I can finish ZBLL in the following weeks and then work on lookahead and efficiency.

After writing this, i realized that i only focused on 3x3, and to be honest that sums up the ratio between the events i practice pretty well. I always think to myself that im a 3x3 + big cubes kinda person but i really don't practice anything but 3x3 at the moment.

Edit: just saw that i actually introduced myself 3.5 years ago already, i didn't even remember... anyway, a lot has changed since then, so this is still relevant
