I don't know if you guys are aware of the "Gyro To Mouse" that you can use on Steam easily if you have a controller with gyroscope.
Check this out if you don't know what I'm talking about
People use this feature to use the controllers as a "pointer" and help stabilize aiming for FPS games for example, and many more.
I used this feature without too much tweak on Lucas Garron's Twizzle Simulator and look how it works:
I mapped one face button for left click and other mouse right click and I can make all moves, just I could do with a mouse.
I think if would be interesting to have a type of interface where you could simply select the face based on the vectorial diretion it is from the center, using analog stick and using buttons as described (one for CW other for CCW turns, maybe one for double turn) and use gyro for cube rotations.
Maybe it is not so intuitive for 100% people but for some can be more easy to grasp, specially for people who use this feature a lot and people with special accessibility needs.
what you guys think of this idea?
