Well, as I've said earlier, there's no harm in using heavy lubes if you wash it out periodically.
If you clean the pieces thoroughly every 1 - 1.5 months, your cube will remain healthy for a long time.

Hmm, I clean weakly and still get plastic-lube butter... I make sure to refresh my lube frequently to stop buildup. That might be why.

My thoughts on the YueXiao. Main out of the box. I loved it but knew it could be improved because I had a previous YueXiao that literally broke (not popped), and lighttake gave me another for free. I tightened it and with practice, it lost its signature sandy feel and evolved it into a smooth but scratchy feel. I love this cube and recommend it to absolutely everyone (P.S if you like this cube, you might like the Yan3, so check that out).
