I recently picked up cubing as a hobby, since there isn't much else to do here in Fresno. Originally, I learned the beginner's method from the instructions that came with my cube. I've since started learning Fridrich, I'm doing intuitive F2L(although I think my intuition is wrong for a few cases) I'm also doing 4 Look LL as a starting point to full OLL/PLL. I'm around 1 minute average for now, so I've got a ways to go. I've been primarily using Badmephisto's videos/website for reference with a bit of Dan's Cube Station for those tricky F2L cases.
I'm using a storebought at the moment that I've sanded and lube into a very nice cube that actually cuts corners and doesn't really lock up. I also just ordered about 9 different cubes from popbuying since i have the money, hopefully I like at least 1 of them.
I'm 30, so you don't have to worry about another annoying newb kid starting 5 threads on the same subject. In fact this will probably be the only thread I ever start, but I might comment on some of yours.
