Great cubing days always follow bad ones

I just noticed something really weird, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced it too. A while back, I started using cubemania to keep track of how my averages are improving over time, and, I just noticed that any time I set a new personal record, or come close to a new record, I always had a pretty bad average the previous time!

Here is a list of my personal bests, or near-bests, in chronological order, with the previous day's solve listed before it.

40.05; 36.20
40.33; 35.24
40.64; 35.69
38.84; 33.49
37.40; 33.52
40.15; 31.53

They are ALWAYS preceded by a bad day, each and every time. I never get something like 32.00 one day, then set a new record of 31.50 the next day.

But, my graph looks really cool and jagged.

Ya when I look at my cubemania graph its something like that. But not so drastic like an 8 second change and such. Its more of like one day I will get a 43, next day a 41, and the next day a 44, and then a 39 and so on.

Its not as bad but it is jagged.

Mine are really jagged too. But it's not by days. Like one time I got avg 36 then my next time I got 43. It was a really big jump on the graph. Most of my graph have sudden jumps/drops. I think it's just because my times are so unconsistant.
