In Fridrich we really don't know last orientation and in ZZ we reduce 57 OLLs to 7 OLL group (same goes for ZBF2L). However now people is learning COLL and that makes certain amount of algs for each case.

How about if instead orienting edges we orient corners with last pair? We have then only 3 OLLs that needs to learn (same time permuting edges).
That should reduce algs cubers should learn. At lastly corners must permute of course.

Hm, ZBF2L requires additional algs for the last slot, MGLS requires additional algs for the last slot, but your method doesn't?

Your method seems unnecessarily difficult. I think MGLS would be better.

Edit-
We have then only 3 OLLs that needs to learn (same time permuting edges).
Which is 30 cases itself. And how many algs for the last F2L pair? Many, many more I'm sure.

yes i meant solving last slot and same time orienting corners (look winter variation of ZZ). After corners being oriented there are 4 scenarios: all edges already oriented->normal PLL, 2 edges oriented (2 cases)->orienting them and same time permuting edges and lastly all edges misoriented->orient+permute again :)

Oh ok, I was thinking something like ZBF2L but with corners instead of edges. How many WV cases are there? I still don't see anything extra that this would offer. I would think even just ELL+COLL would be better.

I think any method that reduces the number of algorithms without changing the F2L portion will not be better than basic Fridrich. Roux gets less algs but there isn't even really an F2L at all! So unless you come up with anything brilliant like that theres a good chance your method won't be useful.
