EDIT: This cube looks great, I really wonder how it performs, since the center seems thicker than conventional cubes.

I'll probably buy this cube.

I wonder if those ripples are there just to reduce contact surface area in order to reduce friction.. Or is there another purpose?

I believe it may be to reduce friction. So, yes you might be right. The FII has a concave square in its pieces too, which is why it feels so crispy. I believe this one should be crispy as well. Maybe a lot of stability.

Where can one buy this cube?

I have one of these. (or two, I'm not sure) They're pretty good, but they lock up a little too much, and aren't very fast. Although, I may just be spoiled after the awesomeness of my Maru.

the reduced perimeter of the inner circle is to reduce pops and increase corner-cutting ability. you could notice that the mirror blocks is pretty much as tight ans a storebought, yet it cuts corners incredibally well.

this idea is first proposed by the designer of the type A cubes.

Daniel do you have a picture of it in the box, or do you know the serial number?
