Gan Cube Broken because of weird buildup on the core

Yesterday, I took out my Angstrom Gan Air SM to do a cubing session. However, noticed that the white side was extremely loose for some reason, and i decided to open the cube up. I saw that there was a buildup of some transparent substance that popped the GES nut out of place. It was weird because there was not any buildup on any of the other pieces. I don't really know what to do so I came here for professional advice. Should I order a new core?
