Gan 356 XS in 2025

I found an unopened Gan 356 xs for 20$ and I was wondering how it stood up to cubes in 2025 such as the super rs3m and v5 which are mid range and flagships like the v10 or 11.

Its bad for 20 dollars, but not a bad cube.

wait... could you please make a photo of the box and post a reply with it on the post? I think I might have this cube but I'm not too sure because it literally only says Gan Cube on the box. My cube has black internals, no ball-core, no UV so it's probably a rather old model



it still cost 60 AUD so I thought it was a Gan Flagship last year when I bought it with my mother on Amazon

The XS was known for having adjustable magnets on the edges like a switch, where inner is weaker and outer is stronger (if I recall correctly).
It also got a new dual-adjustment system, which got transferred to the Gan 11 as well.

i actually still have a GAN XS and it’s still pretty good for me. While the features are pretty outdated, it’s performance is still up to standard imo (on the more “outdated” side of the spectrum though), and the feel is unique to pre-2020s GAN cubes, which I enjoy a lot.

if “modern budgets” means the RS3M V5 or Dayan Guhong Pro+, then no, it definitely doesn’t outclass those two.

356 XS is a classic cube. Actually my favorite out of all my GAN cubes because the rest are modern and have the new GAN feel that's not as soft

If the cube that I own is the Gan 356 XD, it might make sense because the feel (and especially the sound) is so much softer and way more plush than my Gan 12.
