[Help Thread] gan 2x2 making a weird noise (PROBLEM IS FIXED)

On some layers I hear this weird noise like a loose magnet, but I tried looking and there's none that I could find, can anyone help with this

Near the end is the normal sound that it's supposed to make

For some reason I can't watch the video, but is it a squeaky noise? My Gan 2x2 was making a squeaky noise a couple weeks back. The turning wasn't hugely affected but I'm not sure about the fix as I lost the cube and ended up getting a new one anyway.

it's a clicky noise, it does affect the turning a little bit

That sounds like a loose magnet, If you would like to take the matter into your own hands, check each piece and apply a small amount of super glue over the magnet once you have found which one is loose.

Alternatively, you could reach out at [email protected] and we could set up a replacement part for you!

I found the problem...

before i only looked at the edge magnets, but somehow a corner magnet came off and switched teams without me noticing, how dare you change without my permission i'm eating you now

Ah that makes sense. That happened to my YS3M and I was super confused for a while. Glad to see that you fixed it.

If you ever have this problem in the future again, or if anyone else does, here’s what I found with my GAN 2x2, and how I fixed it: I found just a day after I got my GAN 2x2 was that it suddenly made this clicky noise, very similar to the one in your video. I noticed that one/some of the corner magnets would move ever so slightly outward every time it came into contact with a corner magnet. I fixed this in 2 ways: One way was, I very gently used some pliers to fully screw the magnet in the corner. The other method was putting a little piece of paper in between the stalk of the corner magnet and the actual corner itself. Both of these methods fixed it for me, and I haven’t had that clicky noise since. This seems like a factory issue however, so I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

ITS SO ANNOYING WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!! That happened to my tornado about a year ago and i got scared. I ended up making a yt short because I didn’t know what to do and it got a respectable 2k views
