Some of you have received some of these as gifts already, but if you would like to buy one to help me fund my further university studies... (playing with your emotions ) ... then you can check them out at these links. I know you might be thinking that they seem a little pricey, but the materials alone are quite expensive, and the time it takes to make ranges from 3 hours for a 2x2, right up to maybe 10-12 hours for a 4x4.

well i've also made a beautiful megaminx for a member of this forum and will make any sort of puzzle if you want to pay for it i think a 7x7 would take at least a week. 1x1 if you REALLY want

I emailed Rubiks a week or two ago and asked if they ever planned on making functional but otherwise plush cubes, they said doubt it.

my boyfriend and i are working on a functional one atm.

Well, it's a bizarre mix of trying to use sewing skillz (me) and cube function (him). The mechanism is fairly easy to sort out, it's more how on earth to keep the pieces in while turning....

true, but it wouldn't be as awesome as just being able to squish a solvable puzzle into a fist and then let it bounce out to shape again

well, i haven't finalised the 3x3 functional yet. when i do, obviously i will make everyone aware. we haven't really advanced with it, we're a bit too addicted to computer games this week!
