My system takes av of 82.5 twists to solve. And I'm usually taking 60 - 75 seconds on 3x3.

How fast could the best cubers do it?

I'm using original Rubik's cube that is the latest one and very good without stickers. I've got a speed cube that flicks into place and a Roxenda one that I haven't opened yet - came with 2x2 and pyramid one (I don't say pyraminx) I've still got my old Rubik pyramid from about 1982.

Could you provide an example of using your method, please? You can use this site here: https://alpha.twizzle.net/edit/

if youre asking how fast they turn, like their tps (turns per second), the best cubers can get over 10 tps throughout a solve, some have even gotten upwards of 13 tps

My system:
Start with y face top w is the only face that can't be top at start of an alg
Solve the yellow face and 3 of the middles
I used to play board games with a guy called Ben Pridmore but his mem techniques didn't seem to fit cubing much or board games for that matter.
I use a traffic light and train tracks system as memory aides.
Next sort out the bottom corners, then fill in the 5 cubies asap.

Maybe you could film a solve from start to finish, and we see how you complete a solve? I'm especially curious about the last layer.

Last layer - bottom layer
PLC 7, 6 or 0 moves
OLC 14, 7 or 0 moves
C = corners
Then fill in the last 4 cubies or 5 if you left one of the middles empty. I use 1 alg for this with 1 from 3 available for special cases.

My best time 30 s had a load of skips but it seems I don't twist fast enough.

So you solve a face+ 3 edges of the middle layer, the corners of the last layer, and do an alg or two to solve the last 5 edges. Is that right?

Yeah that's it. The empty middle edge is vital as my alg cycles 3 edges.
I was going to change so all middle was solved leaving 8x6x4x2 cases on LL minus the 4? leaving 96 but never got round to it. I remember finding the algs on the net so it probably came from CFOP or something.

Interesting. And how long have you been messing around with the puzzle for?

Since 1981 probably. I'm mostly into board games and cubes. Back in the 80s I had most of the Rubik type puzzles you can see on the internet.

I won 2 board game world championships because no one better than me bothered to turn up.

I invented my own board game then beat my mum at it and declared myself world champion.

😊 Happy days

Wow last time I heard the word "cubies" is like a decade ago. It gives me Fridrich method vibes. Or "forced PLL skips".

I also became European champion at the same event, by beating 3 people. We decided to finish at lunchtime - so we could all play mastermind in the afternoon.
There was a guy who competed in 2 competitions at the same time, meaning he had to run from room to room. Hilarious.
That's the MSO - Mind Sports Olympiad.
