Ok. When I first got this puzzle,I when straight in to first turns. The first turns are very scratchy, but not dry. The cube out of the box was very tight, and was still capable of 45 forward, 3/4 reverse corner-cutting. The only problem I have with this cube, is even on fairly loose tensions, it is still difficult to remove an edge piece, and even harder to put it back in. Corners do not twist, and as I said it is difficult to remove an edge, so pops do not happen. It still has the same center cap and center piece style of the ShuangRen, making this a very difficult puzzle to tension. Its mechanism kind of seems like a Shuangren or GuangYing on steroids.
