So I just got my Fangcun in the mail today from TheCubicle. I had high hopes for the cube, but right out of the box, it had a bumpy feel. I did switch out the hardware and core for Dayan (Springs + Screws and C4U Core). However, this did nothing to the bumpy feel of it. I took a look at it again, and noticed that there were some excess plastic sticking out of the edges, so I scraped it off carefully with an exacto knife. Still, a bumpy feel. It also feel very dry despite being lubed with Traxxas 50k (Lubix Alternative). The core is also lubed, and so are the screws and springs, and both cubes are tensioned the same.
I noticed that the edges are different as well (Below are pictures of them circled). The seem to have more ridges. The corners, in some way, are different too despite having a bunch of bumps and ridges on it like the Zhanchi.
I'm aware that the material is different.

Perhaps I did not break it in enough? Maybe it's just a manufacturing error on my part?
Also, how can I fix the center cap pops?
Honestly, this feels very much like a Guhong than a Dayan Zhanchi. Seriously. It's not even smoother than the Zhanchi.

The edge on the left are Fangcun. The Right is Dayan Zhanchi.
