Hey guys, wondering if its necessary to have an extra cube like a practice cube in a comp so like for example the cube which cubers use to practise before their official solve.
I have one but I only use it if I have a new alg that I'm struggling to remember, and then before I solve I do it a couple of times, it's not really a necessity to have one tho
It's probably best to bring two exact same cubes for the event you are competing. Different cubes give different feels, so it might affect your times when you actually compete. I've never been to an official comp before (I have been to an unofficial one, but at the time I only had one cube), this is just what I noticed from top cubers.

I was thinking that you should bring a heavier and slower cube for your prac and a lighter and faster cube for official solves, so that in your official solves you will be faster. I tried that and it worked
