I just started messing around with an edges first method. I usually use Fridrich, but i thought this was interesting. I'm curious to know others thought's on it.

The method i was using starts with the cross, then goes to the middle edges. After that the top cross. Then placing all the corners and finally turning them in the right direction.

Lol, should have been kept in the other thread.

ON-TOPIC: Can you do 5 solves, and tell me the move count of each of the solves. If it averages under 80 moves, I'll learn the method. If not. I cbf.

Ok so it's not very efficient. I've done 3 solves so far with 122, 102, and 115 moves. I just thought it was interesting. It's different than anything I've seen before and I kind of wanted a second opinion.

122 HTM?

If so... that's like, the equivalent of 2-3 really good ZB solves. o_o

Have you tried commutators to solve orientation and permutation simultaneously?

I've tried it, but i don't know enough algorithms.
Lol.

Commutators are algorithms you intuitively make up to solve 2 corners at a time. You don't have to learn anything, except the basic concept of commutators.

oh lol. well i can get two corners at once in certain cases and if i'm lucky i can get the corners facing the right direction. if you know any algorithms that cycle 3 corner peices clockwise and rotate them clockwise at the same time, that would be really helpful.

Thanks man that's awesome. That will cut down a lot on moves.
