Duplicate a cube :) ?

Today friends gave me a new kind of challenge that I found really interesting and hard: They scrambled a cube and told me to try and recreate it with another cube, and it took me like 2 minutes but i ended up doing it using normal fridrich method

did anyone try this? i found it surprisingly hard....

I have thought about trying that before but I never did. Who would have thought scrambling the cube is harder than solving it lol.

Lol. Yah I just used Fridrich to "solve" it. Just the definition of a solved state is different...

yeah..i thought about this too.
actually i solved several times the cube after a given pattern...like M2yM2xM2..this is simple..but try..harder cases

We tried this at a cube meeting at Eriks place once. I scrambled a cube and put it on top of a glass (transparant). All others gathered around the glass and tried to replicate the scramble. I think Joël won in around 2 minutes.

Yes I'd like one, but it's now way harder than back then. I don't remember how exactly I came up with the term, but it was/is my metaphor for something really hard to get, and I roughly used it to mean "official world record for 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 3x3oh or 3x3bld", i.e., in a main event with tough competition. I was mostly hoping for 3x3bld because I considered the record back then to be quite slow (as Matyas and others proved in the meantime).
