Do you have trouble discovering new cubing videos?

[bgrgndz]

I came up with this idea of a website that allows you to discover cubing videos faster. DGCubes suggested that I should make sure other people have this problem too so here we go:

I have no problem searching for specific videos on youtube as I know what to look for and which video it is. But when it comes to actually discovering new channels or videos, I can't seem to find good quality content without going through a lot of videos.

When i type in "walkthrough solves" for example, videos from months ago come up and I watched them. To find stuff I need to sort by date and when I do that, I am faced with lots of bad quality content which includes people with bad camera, lighting, angle, no voice, sub-1 minute people doing walkthrough solves etc.

Do you have this problem or is it just me?

I probably posted this in the wrong category, sorry.

nope, I don't really have a problem finding youtube vids.
If I can't find example solves, i just type in a username like "jayden mcneill" or "penguins don't fly", who I know make good example solves

your idea sounds cool. would it be like a platform where people share their vids or is it a place to recommend vids to others?

heh, if you want to find cubing videos just go to the cyoubx friends' facebook group, it's almost a youtuber gathering.

Recommendation will be done automatically, people will add their videos.
Do you have this problem?

Finding good quality videos can sometimes be a pain, but I usually go to channels I know (and trust) to watch videos. Your idea might help small channels with good quality get noticed though.
