Dealing with spammer accounts

maybe something everyone with a cube can answer
Like "white opposite:" or if Green is on top and white is in front, where is red
Newbie with scrambled cube and no cube understanding:
"I don't understand. The colors are all over the place, each color on almost every side. How am I supposed to answer this?"

Have them answer five questions, the answers embedded in

1) the rules
2) the FAQ
3) a Wiki page
4+5) the initial message of the two sticky threads in the beginner section

The embedded answers being given like "The answer for the registration form is 'commutator'" with different texts for all five places.

This would prevent more spammers while showing new members around so they get to know this site and how it works, which is good for them and us anyway. Make sure to explain this on the registration form and encourage them to read the whole page, not just search for the registration answer.

It's a noble idea and would pretty much educate all newbies to well behaving forum users
But I think 90% of people that register now wouldn't register with that new procedure because it just takes to long and gives them a very unwelcome feeling

And PJK, I don't know where Microsoft got that Captcha from, sorry

Computerized spambots cannot answer even the 3 move scramble, it can only be done with humans, so it might be effective.. But what is Captcha for?
Stefan, i think your idea might not work.. if I were a newbie trying to register, I would get pissed by the trouble it takes to register.

You'd get pissed by getting a little tour around the site showing you stuff good for you and us? Then I wouldn't mind you not joining. At all.
