not sure how I'm just discovering this, but I bought the X-Cube and X-Cube Master last week and they're fantastic. Somehow this has led to trying the 3x3x5, the 3x3x4, the 3x3x2, and the floppy cube.
They're a blast, and the shape-shifting adds another whole element. For some reason I thought 3x3x5 wasn't interesting and was just a tall 3x3, I didn't realize it would shape shift.
Now I'm tempted to got a 3x3x6 and 3x3x7.
I like the Moving Parts X-Cube because it feels heavy and solid. I picked up the Calvins 3x3x5 and it's not bad but it feels lighter and more flimsy. Today I picked up the (WitEden?) 1668Cube 3x3x4 and it feels better, more solid.
Looks like Calvin HKnowstore has most of these though.
I swear every video I watched on the 3x3x5 (JRCuber, CrazyBadCuber, BeardedCuber, etc)... if they used a Calvin 3x3x5 it was falling apart mid-solve. Every time it had pieces falling off in the middle of algs.
anyway, excited to find a new sub-genre of cubing. I have and use the regular big cubes up to 12x12,.. plus Megaminx and Pyraminx,.. the usual stuff,.. but Cuboids is a new discovery. Pretty neat stuff.
Will probably have to poke arounds the HKnowstore a bit more now.
