I'm currently revising all of the Wikipedia articles relating to cubing. Anyone care to help?

Go here for a good overview of all the cube-related articles.

So far I've cleaned up a bit and clarified Fridrich's role in inventing Fridrich (WP was giving her sole credit).

If any Roux experts would like to help write the article on the method, that would be great - WP coverage of methods is outdated and neglects Roux in favor of Petrus despite more recent shifts in method preferences.

Also, while I'm not sure of the notability of cubers in general... since WP has articles for Feliks, Yu, Erik, Rowe, and many others, we may as well have articles on Mats, Hays, and Michal to keep all the WR holders covered.

TBH, there isn't much point in doing this. We have the SS wiki for this purpose, and although wikipedia is ok for general stuff, things that are hobby related (games, speedsolving, sports) are usually better documented elsewhere. Also, I believe someone has tried to do this before and their edits were reverted because the information was inaccurate (even though it was being changed to current WR's etc.) so be careful.

Someone who doesn't know anything about cubing is probably going to go to Wikipedia, so we need to keep that information accurate.

And I know the incident you're referring to - they tried to update Feliks's page after a competition had happened but before the WCA had posted results yet, so there was no citation for the information. Clear violation of wikipolicy.

On the wikipedia page for cubing you should just add links to the WCA website and the SS wiki. As long as the links are well placed, you get the information to the wikipedia visitor just as easily with significantly less work and you encourage them to visit SS.

I used to researh thing on the internet when I was youn ger. One was Rubik Cube since a friend had one they couldn't solve and that was in Sept 2008 I think

edit: Should there be a page for the ss 8x8
