As a possibility: You don't *need* to have a website. If you're having such a difficult time thinking of content for it, maybe it's a sign that you just shouldn't establish a site.

But seriously. the website needs a bit of work. As for the look of the website, I would suggest possibly having your website hosted on wix.com. That way you can monitor comments (you have a lot of spam comments) and focus more on appearance. I did it for my website, which I may do some more work on today, now that I am thinkin 'bout it... but seriously, maybe work on making the site look a bit better. I'm not gonna comment on content right now, because I don't spend enough time on other cubing sites (besides speedsolving.com) and I can't recognize pagiarism.

It's ironic you mentioned this because I can see most of your posts of late, at least, add nothing to discussion.
Actually, a lot of Berd's posts recently have been welcoming newcomers to speedsolving.com and asking questions, as well as gently pushing some newcomers in the right direction. Asking questions shouldn't be considered "not adding to the discussion." As for your comment, starting a flame war isn't going to help anything. This is not the fight thread (that was taken down some time ago :) ) Your comment, pointing out a member's supposed lack of contribution, is ironic in the way that it isn't helping at all.

Of course. The members who feel the need to defend others (when no defending needs to be done) and will be willing to do so by twisting the words of the "foe" (twisting someone's words is actually what starts flame wars, just to let you know for the future when you do this to someone who does like to start flame wars). I was hoping no member would have posted what you did, but since you did, you're about to get an irrefutable explanation for my actions which will, I'm sorry to say, cancel out your "good deed" for the day.

I might be a little upset with you, but if you would see the quality of my posts on these forums, then just maybe you would understand (I didn't lose hope in humanity just yet). Since I actually put thought and time into my posts, I "wrongfully" expect others to do the same. Maybe my standards are too high, but I guess they must be pretty good to help me merit a seat in the private forum when it first was created--without sending a request form.

Now, down to business.

I just thought it was ironic that Berd was encouraging Dene's statement but was violating it. I did not take Berd's post, which sounded like either "Oh, you have been told!" or "Dene is stating his rules which, if you don't obey them, you'll get spanked!" (Mockery) to be contributing to discussion.

Dene did not need this "reinforcement" (if it was one) and this "reinforcement" could have in fact twisted Dene's intent in his message to Seanliu. As an anology, when you try to tell someone something and there is "noise" in the background, it can cause them to 1) hear you incorrectly or 2) not hear you at all. (Clearly the first possibility applies here.)

Your comment, pointing out a member's supposed lack of contribution,
I'm not opposed to a member not contributing: there are many times when it's better if a member doesn't post anything at all (believe me, I know) when nothing needs to be said, period.

Berd doesn't need any defending from you, as I did not attack. When unnecessary things are being said, I define that as the c word Dene used. I'm sure (hope) Berd does post useful things, which is why, if you go back and read my post, I didn't say all of Berd's posts don't contribute to discussion. However, at least the last 6 of Berd's posts that I happened to read before I commented on Berd's post in this thread made my eyes roll. If members like Berd do make useless posts, that's fine, but pretending to back up someone who is (rightfully) complaining about the very nature of their posting habits is, as I said, "ironic". Please forgive me for commenting, but sometimes I just cannot hold myself if too many things add up.

By stating this (and managing to count how many posts of "argument" there have been, as if determining how intense a tornado is) when Dene and the original poster have specifically stated, in one form or another, that they DON'T want to fight, clearly you are looking/wanting this to be a flame war. Calling them liars (indirectly) is not what I call a person who wants to put out flame wars or stop fights. Rather, your action is no different than lightly blowing on the smoke to start the fire which wouldn't have started otherwise. This was not "messy". Rather, it was intense discussion.

In the future, be very careful with your adjective usage, because miscommunication is sadly the number one cause of fights of any nature.
