Crossover to jigsaw puzzle community

On 8 February 2025, I took part in the German jigsaw puzzle championships, where they solve jigsaw puzzles solo, in pairs and in teams of four. Interestingly, this community is a mirror of the cubing communitity genderwise: about 90% of the members is female. There were several other active speedcubers among the participants so I wonder if in other countries and on other continents there is also a crossover from the cubing community to the jigsaw puzzle community? Are there any other speedcubers also doing jigsaw puzzle competitions?

I don't compete, but every once in a while I will do a Wasgij. Jigsaw puzzle competitions have always kind of interested me since I learnt about them, and didn't realise the community was heavily female, honestly I thought it was more like 60:40 F:M.
