For those who do not know, it is a science educational series; if you haven't seen either of them, you should watch both.

1980 version (Available all over the internet. Just google.)

I have seen both versions of Cosmos.

In Australia the original series ran on ABC TV every Wednesday night at 10PM from 02/06/1982 to 25/08/1982. I begged by parents (as a 12 year old) to watch it
but they said it was past my bed time of 8:30PM. By weird fate I did watch Episode 13 called "Who Speaks For Earth?" on TV while in hospital on 25/08/1982. I got there by "abusing the green cross code" five days earlier in a successful attempt to avoid a polio (OPV, ie "Sabin Vaccine" after Albert Sabin) vaccination at school. Since then, any viewing of Cosmos or any other factual science TV program or series (ie Ascent Of Man, Civilization, Universe, etc) is dedicated to that event.

I brought Cosmos 1.0 on DVD in December 2003 from Amazon.

I have watched that series 6 times.

Cosmos 2.0 aired on the National Geographic Channel on Foxtel from 16/03/2014 to 08/06/2014 every Monday night at 7PM. I series linked to record all the shows
and I loved it. I then brought Cosmos 2.0 on DVD.

NOTE: Green Cross Code = A long running UK and Northern Ireland campaign to help children to cross the road safely.
