I know there are a couple of people here who are Corner Helicopter 2x2 solvers, so I decided to make this thread to discuss times, method development, magnetization/setup, blindsolving (no one's done this yet that I know of but I'm going to try soon), and more!

My current pb is 3:03.28, and I'm hoping for a sub 3 minute solve soon :)

Also please nominate to get this added to the weekly competition, that would be really fun!

Chris Chi got a UWR single (and first sub 1 minute solve) today with a time of 52.85 seconds!

I also did my first attempt at CH2BLD and I actually did it! I'm going to post an edited version with a recon soon, and I might also post a tutorial after that!
Here is a link to a livestream with the entire solve: https://youtube.com/live/PRL8kToZa88?feature=share

Hey, I have a question:

So I'm using a method where you reduce it to a 2x2 by starting with the edges, then the corners, then just solving it like a 2x2. However I often get stuck on the corners parts because when I get to the the last couple of little corner pieces, a lot of the time there is only one on each swivelling big corner piece (sorry I don't know the appropriate name) and therefore I can't solve it because to do so, I would need to move it out of the way and swap it with another small corner piece (but they are already solved so I would just be solving one but unsolving another). Usually I just try random swaps until it eventually solves itself but I'm sure there's probably a more advanced and efficient way to solve them.
Can anyone help me out?

I can send a picture if you don't understand.

Could you send a picture? I don't use this method, but it sounds similar to my blind method and I can try to help out. You can also join the discord, where there are people who are better than me at ch2 lol :)

I have already paired all of the smaller edge pieces (in this case, the blue and white edges) but I now need to solve all of the small corner pieces so that I can finish with the 2x2 stage. However in the tutorial I watched, I would need to solve the blue and red corner and then swap it out with another piece so that I don't mess up the edges however there arent any free pieces to swap.

I'm sure there is probably a really easy little technique or cycle I am missing (my puzzle theory needs some work 😞).

Here you can do setup moves to reach a 3 cycle (you can do edge and corner turns to setup an unsolved wing to the UFR or UFL corner, do the 3 cycle, and undo the setup moves). From what I can see, there should be an unsolved wing (with blue and white), although I might be wrong.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
