I've been doing some megaminx and have come down to 3:00. I think that I can win the most time with simple practice, 'cause it's the first layers that takes longest time. But I thought that it would have been good to learn some LL too. Oll is pretty fine, but pll is pretty bad. I just "found" R2 U2 R2' U R2 U2 R2', and i also know the symmetric one. Any short tips for when the edges are just beside each other?

Also I don't know really how much it's worth to learn algorithms for corners, or just use commutator R' D' R D? What is fastest? Any pll website tips?

For a 3-cycle of adjacent edges: L2 U2 L'2 U'2 L2 U L2 U2 L'2 U'2 L2 (what this alg actually does is a double 2-cycle of nonadjacent edges, which is equivalent up to AUF to our 3-cycle)
For the remaining case (double 2-cycle of two adjacent edges and the two surrounding them): L2 U2 L'2 U'2 L2 U L'2 U2 L2 U L'2 U' L2 U'2 L'2 (same idea but using the fifth edge as a buffer for the permutation of the adjacent edges).

I use a 3x3 PLL for 3-cycle of adjacent edges. It saves you from learning more algorithms.

[RUR'F'][RUR'U'][R'F][R2U'R'U'] (counter clockwise)

If you have a clockwise 3-cycle, just do a U turn and there will be a counterclockwise one.
