For an assignment I received for Math class, the objective is to find how a 3D graph would be useful in real life.

Any ideas how I could involve cubing? I'm not asking you to do it for me, just offer up some ideas, I'll do the rest.

What the sheet says:
Create a real world situation in both words and mathematically, using an equation (define variables). Create a problem involving the situation that would require the solving of an equation or a system of equations. Explain this part in words

You could say something that involves creating a 3D rubik's cube and creating some equations, where the variables are the locations on the cube, for a program to solve it.

These are rather complicated for senior high math class. If I knew how to go about doing them, I'd do it though :P

Tons of experience with linear algebra. That's pretty much all we did last year. Matrices we skipped, but I can use them.

You'd have to be good with the understanding and formulas with the cube, rather than being good at solving it to do this kinda stuff (it probably will be hard to include cubing if you don't know too well how it works, why one edge flipped is unsolvable, etc). But if you know that stuff, then maybe do something about combinations/probability (for say OLL and PLL)
I didn't really get the question, so this probably wasn't too helpful. Oh well, 'least I tried to help.

Yeah I was thinking of having it graphing chances of parities, or maybe skips. But I'm not sure how I would make that 3 variables.
