I'm thinking its to keep sticker crap out of his keyboard. I just took off my old laptop keyboard and it was FULL of sticker chips and other cube related junk.

Oh, that might be a reason. I can see sticker crap under my keyboard too Although I was thinking that the towel would make it safer to slam the cube down after solves.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I'm not particularly keen on slamming my cube down on my laptop when stopping the timer (or to fix lock ups during OH).

You can stop the timer with any key.. at least in qqtimer

At Taiwan Summer open 2010 first round, he got a 3x3 single AsR 7.77 which is P skip.
And average of 5 at Final: 10.71 (9.90 11.47 10.72 11.13 10.27) Taiwan NR (not in the same round with that single.)

By the way, I got a 2x2 single AsR 1.63, a 9 moves EG solve with 2 moves canceled
