Can Tiles Wear Off When Dishwashing a Cube?

I've been planning to put my storebought rubik's cube in dishwasher to get rid of dust and Vaseline that might be in there.

Unfortunatly, I have tiled my cube with Cubesmith smooth tiles, before i planned on doing this.

Can the tiles wear off?

CS tiles are better than the storebought's factory ones. I've washed my cube a couple of times in the dishwasher with the original ones, so I think you will have no problems with yours.

I have personally done this.

It doesn't have any bad effect.

I would suppose it could hurt it if done several times,

but don't worry about it.

I have done this couple of times, but it wasn't very helpful. Took alot of time and the results are not satisfying.

Heck, I accidentally left my cube in my pocket and it went through the washing machine, and the textured tiles I had on it made it through OK. It should be fine

i dont think they can "wear off", but i think that in the hot water the tile adhesive can stop sticking the tile to the piece and the tile fall off the piece

p.s. in my dishwasher you put salt or rinse aid or something and the salt will definitely not help the adhesive

I often just get the cutlery basket from the washer, put all of the pieces in it and run it under the tap under high pressure.
