So Idk if yall remember me but I was super active back in the covid era and just kinda have been haunting the forums every once in awhile but not enough to really know what's been happening on the forums the past couple years aside from world record posts and some allusions to a big drama (all info I have I owe to @1x1 wr holder!). So I'd like to see what some everybody has been up to and what else yall have gotten into hobby wise, as I'm sure similar to me alot of you have moved on to new hobbies.


As for what I've been up to, its mainly been working alot and my new (ish) hobbies are as follows with how long I've been into it.

• Guitar mainly acoustic fingerstyle lately (fav artist and my teacher is Ethan Hibbs) (almost 2 years).
• Cars and formula drift ( 1.5 years).
• Guns (long time)
• Music in basically every genre except hip hop, pop (with some exceptions, and country which is the worst genre ever created (basically my whole life)
• Mountain biking (on and off for like 5 years cause I can't be bothered to get a decent bike lol)
• Motorcycles ( sadly it's expensive and I would probably get kicked out of the house lmao)
• A little bit of gaming mostly Star Wars stuff, Minecraft, and CS2 + Onward VR. (way to long)
• Sim racing but don't have my own setup yet so can't really count it.
• Travel (2 years only done one trip, got another one planned tho).
• Golf cause its free at work (I hate this game).

i just started like a month ago so i dont know any songs yet but i’m hoping to learn some progressive rock songs (idk if you know foo fighters/coldplay but im hoping to learn some of their songs).

i got a “Lyric” acoustic guitar that has probably been sitting in the storage room for years but i swapped out the strings and it sounds good (i already snapped the high e string twice and sliced my hand once lol)

Lol the e string sucks. I mostly play in open d instead of standard. I have heard of foo fighters and cold play but only listen to a handful of songs.

Keep playing man. Once you learn a full song and know some chords it gets so much more fun. The 1 year mark is definitely a great goal.

Depends on the genre. When I just started out, minecraft songs were awsome cause they sounded good and were relatively easy to learn. John mayor is I think the greatest guitarist of his generation what ever else you wanna say about he can play, I like alot of his songs. My guitar teacher who happens to be my fav fingerstyle artist has a cover of soldier poet king that I love, alot of his songs are great and im currently almost finished with moonlight path. I like the fearless flyers for funky stuff. For metal I like alot of artist if I can find the instrumentals. I'll just list my fav artists below lol.
