I have been cubing for about 2 months now. I only know the beginer methood and my solve times varry from 1:17-1:40. I want to learn F2L, OLL and PLL. The person who taught me, my teacher. Taught me to solve the green side first. With all of the F2L videos I have seen they all start on the white side. I solve 4x4's 5x5's and mega-minxs on the white side because I don't speed cube with those cubes. Am I ready to learn F2l yet or should I wait. I want to beat my teacher. (He's been solving the Rubiks cube for two years and his PB was 1:45.) Should I learn F2L? Could some one make an F2L tutorial on the green side? Or should I just learn on the white side? I tried to watch monkeydudes F2L tutorial But I just got to confused. Post your oppinian on what I should do.

I suggest you do some solves on the white side (or all sides) if you can't follow the tutorials. You shouldn't have too many problems adapting since you're still starting out. After that, learn whatever you want to learn and start solving on whichever side you want (or on all sides - color neutral).

Cubing is much more of a journey than a destination. After all, the destination is being able to complete a plastic toy really fast.

Don't look at cubing so seriously, much of the joy is discovery. You should learn the method that appeals to you the most, you should solve on whatever side you like, or even on all sides if that appeals to you.

If you have most specific questions, feel free to ask, but something this general and personal can only be answered by you. Should you learn F2L? I don't know, do you want to know F2L? If so, learn it. If not, try looking into some other methods like Petrus or Roux.
