yeah, so this happened, Bennet you were lucky this time ...

Holy crap. that first scramble is an easy sub 1.4 too :(

What did you do for 3 and 4? Nothing stands out as super easy to me. There's nice options, but nothing incredible.

Edit: nvm. i got #4. Don't think I would have done that solution like that though.

EDIT 2: I'm assuming blue on 3 and green on 4?

I can understand this tooo good!
Im very nervous, too.
I'm sure I would've failed even more than you!
In frankfurt I also failed every average with DNFs and +2s!
Sry

I have never seen you nervous at a competition. I wish I could be cool like that. :)

but my nerves are kinda different, when i said i was pissing myself i almost ment it litteraly, on a normal day i go about 3 times to the toilet at comps it is about 6.
btw sorry for this kind of disturbing info...

i don't see the point of saying it was an 'ER fail'. you've already got a crappy average and had no chance of getting even close to the ER. it is easy to get good solves in this situation and yelling 'ER fail' while looking back at your times, but this is not how record breaking works. to get any kind of records, handling the pressure is the most decisive factor, not your bare speed. knowing that you have to do an awesome solve otherwise you'll miss you biggest chance of your life makes difference between records and record fails, world class and just good cubers.
now it just looks like you want to play with the big guys, but this 'ER fail' is your greatest achievement.

I don't think you read anything before this, it is a fail becuase I had an plus 2 and a big lockup on 2 solves that count. It would have been ER if I didn't have either of those. I know I am still not good like Rami, Lucas , Bennet and Kevin but I Totally disagree with the crappy average thing you said. It Has happende to me 3 times that i had 1 atempt left and still chance for ER.
1: amstelveen open 2.32 average counting fail 3.6x.
2: hasselt open 2.06 with counting 2.6 wich I could have gotten sub 2 easily on.
3: this one.
Also I don't see any reason for you being so negative, shouldn't I be allowed to post something like this?
The part about handling the pressure (as you said ) was the reason I got this. Since There were allot of new people and i had allot of friend there, allot of people were watching me.

by this logic, every average you have and not being ER should be titled as ER fail. and probably you didn't read my post carefully because i said you can only fail an average if it is almost done, like you have 3 sub2s and then screw it up with +2s and sup3s. it is really easy showing your skill when you already know that you are not going to get any good result just same as always or a bit worse.
i can not understand how could you have the chance for the ER before the last solve as you mentioned in point 3
i'm not trying to be negative, i'm just really against the 'what could have been' type of thinking. there are two possibilities: you did it or didn't do it, nothing between the two

Same happened to me last weekend[emoji20]
(1.04),2.16 + 2=4.16,1.89,1.36,2.47 +2=4.47

The plus 2 on the second was super close.....
Without that it would have been 1.79....[emoji20]
The 1.04 was 11 moves and 10.57 TPS[emoji3]
