Amazon shengshou Cube package 2x2 - 5x5

I'm curious if anyone on the forum has had any experience with ShengShou cubes, and what they thought. Here's the link:

There are much better 2-4 out there and the 5 matches up fairly well against the AoChuang but the HuaChuang came out today and is likely an improvement.

That seems like a fairly good price if you don't have m/any cubes yet.

If you don't mind having mediocre cubes then sure. Great for beginners and good price.

If I wanted a decent cube, for a 2x2 4x4 and a 5x5, what would you recommend? I already have an AV. I love it.

By decent do you mean good enough to use and get pretty fast at for a cheap price? If so get this package, but if you want the best cubes, I recommend a Dayan 2x2, Moyu WeiLong or AoLong 3x3, Moyu Aosu 4x4 and then either a Moyu AoChuang or HuaChuang.

2x2- Essentially a LanLan. Not great turning, but nice for the collection.
3x3- Not too bad. Like I said above, nice for the collection.
4x4- Not really the best speedcube now, but it can be modded and is definitely good for starting out with.
5x5- Actually pretty good. I use mine, but plan on getting a HuaChuang or AoChuang Soon.

Overall, for about $20, why not buy it? You are probably just looking to get the puzzles, not necessarily planning to speedcube them right away, so it's a great deal. I say get it. I did, and I was very happy.

As said above if you want to spend the money to get the best cubes then Dayan for 2x2 and MoYu for 3-5.

SS are fine to start out with but if you think you'll spend the money eventually you could save money in the long run by getting the best now.
