According to the WCA regulations it's a DNF.

A6e) The competitor must not touch or move the puzzle until the judge has inspected the puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.

However, the judge had started clapping before he picked it up, which I would take to mean that it is solved, so it isn't a DNF.

I don't think inspecting the puzzle necessarily implies touching it, so there's no reason to call this a DNF.
