Hi all,
I was thinking about adventiges of SS, but I really don´t see them much compared to ortega or guimond. Let me explain:

ortega: I usually orient the first face in 4 turns, then orient opossite face
guimond: Usually I already have 3/4 face in preinspection, then orient both faces plus (let´s say 3 moves) orient faces correctly
And SS? Mostly you must do 1 move to step one which is 3/4 face and then orient both faces
the rest of solving is the same for all methods

So, in my opinion, you save max. 3 moves against ortega and max. 3 moves against guimond. I´m I right? What is the MAIN adventiges of SS against these two methods (ortega+guimond)? Have I change ortega for SS when I´m sub 5 with ortega? The number of algorithms seems to be huge - if I would save 3 moves...

First of all, saving 3 moves in a 2x2 solution means reducing the move count by roughly 10-20%. Additionally, having only 2 steps compared to 3 means you have less delays, which is an extremely important part of 2x2 solving.

Do you know where Tim moved his algorithms to? Or does he not have them up and force us to find them on our own.
