I drew up a quick idea for a gigaminx method in Paint:

Basically just blockbuild everything until the last layer, then commutators for the rest. Rainbow order, light to dark.

That actually turned out better than expected, so I threw a quick one together for my 4x4 method:

Algorithms are for wusses.

Cool idea. It's like a combination of my bigcubes column method and that one y-symmetrical megaminx method (was in Balint who used it?). I'm not really sold on the order of the green stuff but I definitely wanna give this a try sometime.

Yeah, I don't actually have a gigaminx to try it out on (and I can't stand sim). I noticed that the grouping is a bit off on the green pieces but basically I'd solve the ring all the way around starting with a 2-piece block, then 3 pieces at a time, finishing with the last 4-piece block.

Mostly, though, I just thought the diagram looked cool and wanted to post it somewhere. :P

I tried a solve with this (on a real giga), 14:13.42. It's pretty fun and there's definitely a lot of room for improvement there. I noticed while building the blue part that you don't really have the freedom to do a Uw, which is kind of annoying, so maybe that part should be changed slightly. Also during the end of the blue-purple (the last columns before the last layer) I ended up doing it K4 style (corner+midge and then commuted wings) because it seemed easier than trying to pair stuff up all at once. But yeah.
