I can't quickly tell the difference between the two A Perms, the one going clockwise and the one going counter clockwise.
It takes me too long to think which algorithm to apply.
Any help?
Thanks.

Look at where the "headlights" are. You know, the 2 corner stickers on one side with the same color.

So where would the headlights be for clockwise and where would they be for counterclockwise?

I use face regonition. if the FL sticker facing out is opposite the face its the clockwise rotation if not its counter clock wise. Though it may only work for the alg that i use its the commutator and its reverse with the correct corner in the back left

Nah...
Look at the solved edge-corner-edge block and the two identically colored corner stickers besides it.
Position the face with the opposite-colored corner sticker towards you and execute.
opposite corner on is it right: right hand A perm
and vice versa

I do my A perms from this angle, and since you gave no information otherwise, I'll assume you do too.

I find the easiest way to recognize the difference is to look at the URF corner. If the URB corner is in the URF corner's spot, then it is the counter-clockwise A Perm. If the ULB corner is there, then it is the clockwise A Perm.

Sorry if I confuse you, but this is what works best for me.

Edit: Similar to what cubenovice said.

Thanks everyone.
What I did to recognise it was see where the headlights were in relation to the two block.
Thanks!

I just place the headlights in the back and then start the A-perm from whichever side the two block is.
