IMO it is pretty harsh because as others have stated that the cubes at that time were not that good, another factor which every seems to be missing is that Faz is good at almost every event (which requires a lot of practice) whereas 5bld is only good at 3x3.
OT: congratulations Alex you are truly amazing![]()
lol, not sure if serious. Let's look at the other events then. Faz was about exactly the same amount into his cubing career around June 30, 2009. 5BLD ALREADY has a 21 official OH average. Faz got a 23 OH official average a month later. 5BLD doesn't have any pyra solves yet, but Faz's official pyra average was 17 a month longer than 5BLD has been cubing. 5BLD has a 3.9 official 2x2 average. Faz got a 4.4 official 2x2 average a month longer than 5BLD has been cubing. Then if you want to do 3x3, it's 10.00 to 12.30 officially, when Faz was at it for a little more time. It seems like Faz has him on the big cubes. I'm not sure on their at home averages relative to each other though.
Give him some time.
