3x3x3 hybrid metal/plastic 3x3x3

hi all, just curious what you thought of this.
i just recently got a 3x3x3 metal rubiks cube, ( adjustible) i kept the spider part and the metal centers, then i took my plastic 3x3x3 and put all the corners and edges with the spider from the metal cube. it has a little weight, spins, turns, and cuts corners like a champ, and i havent had any problems with popping yet. has anyone else tried this. thanks
