I'm not sure how consistent it can get, but Rafael is working on it lol
He also showed me that Pi OLL case, and it looked very smooth!

He uses a Type-A.
Maybe your cube is too loose? You could try tightening it a bit.

I use a ZhanChi, but when there is a minor lock up... It scares me I'll play with the tensions a little more!
