Hi, I've been cubing since September 2008, and I have been stuck at a 22-23 second road block since around Thanksgiving. I think it would be helpful if I got some friendly advice. Right now the main thing I see a problem with is my F2L. I think I do to many cube rotations. What do you think I need to improve on? Thanks in advance

.

And hopefully I can embed this video correctly.

If I did it wrong, here is the link.

use a metronome. your look ahead needs work, i average about 20 seconds and my f2l is done in 12 seconds but i have a slow LL, where your f2l is like 17 but you have like a 6 second ll (at least in the first solve)

If you dont know how to use a metronome, everytime theres a beat make a move.
I use this

F2L isn't too bad? Lookahead obviously needs work...but your recognition needs work as well...in a few instances it seems like you know the case but dont remember how to perform it...just practice...i used to average this and i started working on F2L...and using an F-II ;) and now i'm around 17 ish

300 is a bit extreme. I think I could manage around 150 with the busy schedule I have on weekdays.

My lookahead is awful, I agree, considering there is virtually no look ahead. I'll use this advice. Thanks!

Hey, I'm pretty much in the same place you are. Every now and then I'll get a sub20 solve, but my avg has been stuck at 22-24 for months. All I can tell you is what others have told you and I both. F2l practice and lookahead (and regognition, but I think the f2l takes up most of the time by far)

If you find some magical way to improve that I dont know about, let me know =) and hope this helps
