2x2x2 with Old A core and springs!

Hey Paul!

The video is not in German but in italian...
I forgot about telling you that, but to be honest nobody should have problem understanding how the mod 2x2x2 is built... The images are very clear...

Hope you'll try it and let me know if you like...

Regards,

Federico

do you speak english? on topic, i dont know how to put the core in there

Hi, of course I speak english.
It si really difficult to explain in words how to modify the 2x2x2...
I'm convinced that the basic idea can be understanded without problems...

I also forgot to tell you that there are three parte of my tutorial.

In the first Part, after 20 seconds I show you the tolerance wich is really great! Have a look!

thanks for this freddy, I may try it at some point... it looks really nice.

And somehow I actually understand a fair amount of that italian.

Indeed it looks like a very nice and sturdy build. Other Eastsheen 2x2x2 mods, adding springs, always seemed lick ugly hacks and brittle to me.

I would be nice if you listed the materials for it. Core, screws, etc, and which pieces from the original Eastsheen 2x2x2. Am I right thinking that I need to combine *two* original Eastsheen 2x2x2s for this?

I know its totally off topic, But I don't think I have EVER seen Stefan make one let alone 2 typos and not correct it in a post :p

Hi Daniel,

thanks for posting that...I already saw a video tutorial on that idea in youtube but yours seems to be far better! Do you have it? Feedback?
Where do you buy that big cube? I can see some advantages in your cube:
best size, if you use for example D Type, it will never pop.

Stefan, you are right: you need two eastsheen....
I'll try to explain here the most important things that a non-italian understander could need to know:

You need:

A core
Type AII springs and screws
2 Eastsheen
Cutter
Glue
6 washers

Modificiation:

You have to cut the 3 arms on two Eastsheen...that way you have 6 arms.^
Attach the arms to the 6 centers with glue. On the bottom of that new centers you have to glue also a washer. That way you create new centers in wich springs can be added. The springs doesn't need to be cutted.
Add the Core a in the middel and the game is done.

Remember: the corneres have parts that need to be cutted in order to let turn the middle layer and the springs...
Also: three edges must be attached with glue to a corner in order to allign always the middle layer with the rest of the structure.

With good eyes you should now really be able to understand my tutorial...
