It's Daylight Savings in the northern hemisphere again — Europe tonight (early hours of October 30th) and North America next weekend (Nov. 6), which means the clocks will go back one hour and you can start a solve before you finish! Join us for your one yeary chance at "negative time solving", a tradition going back 18 years now. 😄

This year, I'm also offering prizes to promote interest in four unofficial puzzles:
  • Face-Turning Octahedron (FTO)
  • Master Tetraminx
  • Kilominx
  • Redi Cube
In particular, everyone who participates will have a chance to win a limited-availability 3D-printed FTO for speedsolving. 🤓

I hope you'll join us, either for something old, or something new! For more details, see:

@Lucas Garron I'm confused. So, let's say I compete in 3x3, Redi Cube, and kilominx, do I have to start the timer for all 3 events at the same time (before daylight savings ends) and then stop it after the solve is completed? I don't get it.
Yep! The only important thing is that each solve starts before the time change and ends after. In the spirit of solving across the time change, I'd encourage doing at least one turn on each (or starting memorization, in the case of BLD) before the time change.

So, something like this:
  • Start Redi Cube timer, do at least one turn
  • Start Kilominx timer, do at least one turn
  • Start 3x3x3 timer, do at least one turn
  • Time change!
  • Finish 3x3x3, stop corresponding timer.
  • Finish Kilominx, stop corresponding timer.
  • Finish Redi Cube, stop corresponding timer.

Ok, I get it now. Thank you.

Um....... well, I didn't get to compete because I didn't get the weirdness that is that redi cube scramble (which I couldn't understand).
So, hopefully this happens again next year and I can compete. Thanks to the people who set this up! Its really cool! Hopefully next year I'll participate. Good luck to all the competitors!
